Daniel Thomas is an interesting prospect. When you look at his measurables you automatically think he is a tough power back, but he doesn’t really play like one. He runs more like a scat back and he prefers to dance around tacklers rather than running over them. I question how his game translates to the NFL however. He lacks good top end speed and he won’t be able to dance around NFL players like he did in college. At the same time, he lacks the power in his lower body to be a true power back and pound away on defenses. Combine that with his little experience and his potential for injuries and you could have a mid-round flop.
