Ricardo Lockette has gotten a lot of unnecessary hype this off-season. He runs a fast 40 so people fall in love with him. He’s not much of a receiver though. Terrible hands, bad route runner, and just not a natural receiver. Combine that with a lot of off field concerns and you really wonder if he’ll get drafted at all.

– Can challenges defenses down field
– Creates separation due to his athleticism
– Has some ability to catch the ball away from his frame
– Shows some nice moves to get open on deep routes
– Was originally recruited to play at Auburn
– Has experience returning kicks
– Has the athletic skill set needed for the NFL


– Very raw
– Terrible production against weak competition
– Bad route runner
– Doesn’t sink his hips and takes too many false steps
– Hands are inconsistent
– Allows the ball to get into his body far too much
– Does a really poor job of attacking the ball
– Drifts away from passes and allows corners to break under his route
– Has a ton of character concerns
– Publicly called out his QB at FVS
