Overview:

Phil Taylor is a rare prospect because he has prototypical 3-4 NT size and strength but he also displays great athleticism for such a big man. He can dominate interior lineman 1 on 1 simply because he over-powers them. However, he has some technique issues. He doesn’t get off blocks too well and he plays with poor leverage at times. This allows guards to redirect him and seal him off in the run game. He also struggles to get off double teams and he is too often driven back by them. He’s also got some injury issues that have plagued him in the past.
